Commercial Pig Production
Compared to other livestock produced in a primarily free-range environment in Namibia (cattle, sheep, and goats), commercial pig farming requires detail to attention and hands on management. However, if done properly, pig farming presents a good return on equity as a good and well managed sow (female pig) can farrow twice a year with an average of 10 piglets per litter.
